Taking marketing research a step into the future, Spark Neuro uses neuroanalytics to measure attention and emotional intensity to gauge viewer engagement. Rather than letting participants self-report, Spark records various biometric signals in order to get a complete picture of that viewer's experience.
At Shaper, I was part of a small team that redesigned their suite of products to align with and strengthen the Spark Neuro brand. Working closely with their development team, we extended their brand into a design system and built a UI kit that can be used for all future products.

Taking an innovative step forward in viewer engagement research requires an equally large step forward in study design. We reimagined Spark Neuro’s existing study design and recording platform to optimize for discoverability, legibility, and user-friendliness.

Calibrating hardware for study participants had been a confusing and unwelcoming process.
Using a combination of illustration and copy, we clarified the process for lab technicians and participants by breaking it down into a clear progression of tasks.
